List types

Choose a presentation style based on how visual your candidates are and how you want participants to consume the content.

Classic list

Best default for most use cases. Optimized for scanning and quick voting.

Hero list

More visual emphasis on images and featured candidates.

Video-enabled list

Supports embedded or uploaded media for awards, showcases, and comparisons.

Voting windows

  • Start date/time: when voting becomes available.
  • End date/time: when voting is cut off automatically (results can remain viewable depending on visibility settings).

Visibility and search

  • Searchable: controls whether the list appears in site-wide browsing and search results.
  • Direct link access: keep a list “unlisted” and share it only with people who have the URL.
  • Realtime vote counts: show or hide vote totals during the voting period.

Vote types and limits

  • Allowed vote types: up votes, down votes, both, or informational-only (no voting).
  • Votes per list: single-choice (one item) or multi-vote patterns depending on the list design.
  • Max vote count (elections): set the maximum number of candidates a voter may select in a contest.

Exact behavior may vary by list settings and election mode, but the goal is consistent: predictable rules that are easy to explain to participants.

Sorting and scoring

  • Calculated order: items reorder automatically based on vote scoring.
  • Manual order: organizer-defined order for informational lists.
  • Randomized: optionally present candidates in random order to reduce position bias.

Election-only controls

  • Election assignment: attach a list/contest to a specific election campaign.
  • Contest rules: configure selection limits and whether results are visible during voting.
